GBSIoT supports mini pioneers day at the Thinktank

On 29th July GBSIoT were invited to the Thinktank at Millennium Point as part of a mini-pioneers day hosted by the Smallpeice trust.

The GBSIoT team took our Ozobots (pen coding robots) along, and ran activity worksheets with children aged 4-10 on coding. The children were tasked with using different coloured pens to create different codes that represented different speeds for the Ozobots to travel.

Those children that completed the activity quickly and successfully were encouraged to use the Ozobot colour key to program the robots even further, with some of them even busting out the special moves like backwalk and tornado!

We engaged with a high level of children and parents alike with a really simple and hands on approach to coding.

Seeing how engaged children of all ages were was incredibly inspiring and our presence definitely helped further inspire interest in the world of STEM.
