On the 8th December the GBSIoT team welcomed staff from our partner institutions as well as local sixth form, colleges, Birmingham city council, Solihull council and STEM Network to an experience day where we showcased the educational, interactive kit GBSIoT has available.
Visitors partook in demonstrations of the different equipment, trialling it themselves as well as learning all the ways it can be used alongside teaching to increase STEAM engagement.
GBSIoT has partnered with Creative Hut to provide an extensive range of STEM learning equipment for all ages that can be used by educators across the region to encourage young people to get interested in STEM in a fun, hands-on way. The GBSIoT kit covers a massive range of STEAM learning, including build, coding, robotics, computing, science, electronics and can incorporate coding and STEAM into a large range of curriculum subjects such as geography and art.
Once our GBSIoT Hub is open in the Spring schools and colleges will be able to book groups in to spend time at our Aston Hub with access to all the equipment, some kit will also be available to be leant out and used within schools.
