GBSIoT CPD event at Aston Manor school

During April the GBSIoT team saw the last of our stage one CPD sessions at schools and colleges across the region, with our final GBSIoT Creative Hut experience day visit being an extremely successful trip to Aston Manor school. Spreading more awareness about how we can work with and support schools across the GBS locality, as well as showcasing the STEM education learning equipment.

Aston Manor teachers and staff partook in demonstrations of the different equipment, trialing it themselves as well as learning all the ways it can be used alongside teaching to increase STEAM engagement.

GBSIoT has partnered with Creative Hut to provide an extensive range of STEM learning equipment for all ages that can be used by educators across the region to encourage young people to get interested in STEM in a fun, hands-on way. The GBSIoT kit covers a massive range of STEAM learning, including build, coding, robotics, computing, science, electronics and can incorporate coding and STEAM into a large range of curriculum subjects such as geography and art.

Once our GBSIoT Hub is open in September schools and colleges will be able to book groups in to spend time at our Birmingham Hub with access to all the equipment, some kit will also be available to be leant out and used within schools.
